What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including outbound activity, online demos, proposals, and negotiations.
  • Build and grow a strong pipeline of enterprise accounts across Japan.
  • Work closely with local integrators, resellers, and channel partners.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Verkada’s product suite and its relevance to the Japanese market and broader physical security ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to deliver tailored technical demos and ensure successful product rollouts.
  • Provide feedback from the Japan market to help shape regional strategy and product improvements.
  • Be a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through the transition to cloud-managed physical security.
  • Travel regularly for customer meetings, site visits, and occasional trips outside Osaka as needed.
  • This role requires regular travel, estimated to be more than 50% of the time, including both domestic and international destinations as needed. The successful candidate must be comfortable with frequent travel to support business operations, customer and partner engagements and team collaboration.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 4+ years of Enterprise sales experience in a quota-carrying role (experience in Japan’s B2B market preferred).
  • Native-level Japanese language skills are essential; intermediate to business-level English is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to navigate and influence complex sales cycles.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to educate and advise clients in Japan’s unique business culture.
  • A proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, competitive, and dynamic environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRMs is a plus.
  • Tenacity, self-motivation, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
