What You'll Be Doing
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated testing activities for enterprise software applications
- Review product requirements and technical specifications to identify risks, define test coverage, and support sprint planning activities
- Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and QA colleagues to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing documentation based on business and technical requirements
- Investigate defects and test failures through log analysis, database validation, and application troubleshooting
- Validate functionality across web, mobile, API, and backend systems where applicable
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance software quality, testing efficiency, and team processes
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Help drive a quality-first mindset throughout the software development lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or software quality engineering
- Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices
- Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Authorization to work in Costa Rica and ability to work remotely from within the country
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
- Experience testing APIs and backend services
- Exposure to cloud technologies and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with AWS environments
- Experience working within healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or other regulated industries
