Mobile App Quality Control (QC) Tester- Remote (Vietnam)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure testing software on Android devices and Windows laptops.
  • Connect Android devices to laptops using a USB cable and execute guided testing scenarios.
  • Perform functional testing across different Android devices and Android OS versions.
  • Follow testing procedures provided by the engineering team to validate application functionality.
  • Verify application behaviour, data capture accuracy, and overall system performance.
  • Perform regression testing after bug fixes and application updates.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs, issues, and observations in a clear and structured manner.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and documentation.
  • Participate in periodic review meetings with the engineering and product teams.
  • Communicate testing findings and recommendations effectively.

Technical Requirements

  • Comfortable using Android smartphones and Windows laptops.
  • Basic understanding of mobile applications, software installation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to follow detailed testing procedures accurately.
  • Comfortable installing and using testing tools with guidance from the engineering team.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to reproduce issues consistently and document findings clearly.

Hardware Requirements

  • Access to at least one Android smartphone (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Google Pixel, or equivalent).
  • Access to a Windows laptop with a stable internet connection.
  • Ability to connect an Android device to a laptop using a USB cable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Mobile App Testing, Software QA, Technical Support, Software Validation, UAT, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with bug reporting tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Bugzilla, or similar) is preferred.
  • Native or fluent Vietnamese communication skills.
  • Basic to intermediate English communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with the international engineering team.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Initial Setup & Intensive Testing Phase (First 3–4 Weeks)

  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Focus on application setup, device compatibility testing, validation, and issue identification.

Ongoing QC & Monitoring Phase

  • Approximately 10 hours per week
  • Routine testing, regression testing, validation of application updates, and issue monitoring.
