Software Engineer (Web)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to build the web application surface of a unified franchisee portal, owning complex and critical functionalities using ReactJS and TypeScript. You will translate product requirements and designs into robust, well-tested web interfaces, optimize application performance, and maintain high code quality through reviews and documentation. The role includes active use of AI tools including Claude and GitHub Copilot as a development accelerator within an Agile engineering team.

What you will do

• Build and ship the unified franchisee portal web application using ReactJS;
• Own complex and critical web-specific functionalities and user interfaces;
• Write clean, well-tested TypeScript code and maintain high standards through code reviews and documentation;
• Optimize web application performance for speed, responsiveness, and memory usage;
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues;
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot to generate code scaffolding, write and review tests, create documentation, and prototype solutions;
• Participate in Agile or product-centric delivery practices, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience;
• Solid experience developing software with JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS;
• Experience building complex web interfaces and managing state in web applications;
• Familiarity with REST APIs and service-based architectures;
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and data persistence concepts;
• Experience developing high-quality, maintainable code while adhering to secure coding standards and industry security best practices;
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an engineering team;
• Upper-intermediate English level.
