Details
- LAB Build-up & Management: Take ownership of the IQ Laboratory design, and infrastructure setup. Build and align high-precision optical rails, specialized 360° stitching chart box, and mount control systems to create a world-class testing environment.
- Intrinsic & Extrinsic Calibration: Design and implement precise geometric calibration procedures. Measure and calculate empirical camera intrinsics and extrinsics to feed accurate data into downstream software algorithms.
- Component Selection Support: Collaborate closely with the US IQ Architecture team during the early R&D phase. Participate in the evaluation of Sensors, Lenses, and SoCs, providing critical hardware-level feedback and manufacturing feasibility (DFM) reviews to ensure the selected parts can hit target specifications.
- Factory IQ Testing & EOL Deployment: Lead the transition from lab prototype to mass production. Define factory image quality testing specifications, design chart requirements for the factory floor, and review Active Alignment (AA) equipment standards to eliminate lens-tilt and centering errors on the line.
- Stress & Environmental Reliability Testing: Evaluate how physical stress impacts image quality. Design and execute comprehensive IQ testing under extreme conditions—specifically quantifying how high-frequency mechanical Vibration affects MTF stability and how severe Temperature fluctuations cause focus-shift or mechanical deformation.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in camera module or product development, optical calibration, or production line EOL testing. Understanding of camera intrinsic and extrinsic calibration matrix mathematics and distortion models.
- Production Line (EOL/AA) Knowledge: Proven track record of deploying camera testing or calibration stations in a mass-production factory environment. Experience with Active Alignment (AA) machine specification and yield optimization is highly preferred.
- Mechanical & Environmental Stress Analysis: Familiarity with assessing image quality degradation under physical stress; experience using optical rails, 6-axis precision mounts, and executing vibration/thermal profile testing on camera modules.
- Tooling & Lab Infrastructure Mastery: Demonstrated ability to plan, source, and calibrate specialized optical testing equipment to maintain strict testing repeatability.
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Ability to travel up to 25% when necessary.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive independent work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
