  • Be the technical lead for a high-caliber, inclusive team of engineers across the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally, collaborate and partner with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to design and build novel products and features that our users will love.
  • Work alongside a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers. Drive step-function improvements in developer workflows, implement best practices, and mentor engineers across the organization..
  • Participate in the full development cycle: design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be writing and reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks, and ensuring successful delivery of key projects.
  • You will be a main driver in the planning, development, and implementation across Reddit’s Android architecture in conjunction with numerous partner teams, identifying and delivering on major opportunities.
  • Enable a culture of metrics led execution, with a focus on operational excellence and system observability.
  • Partner cross-functionally and with senior leadership on our strategic roadmap, driving engineering and product bets that will bring Home to the next level.
  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer developing user-facing applications
  • Fluency working with product metrics, designing and analyzing experiments with exposure to tools like BigQuery, HEX, Firebase, etc.
  • Software development experience in Kotlin for Android, familiarity with GraphQL.
  • Experience leveraging GenAI tools to increase software engineering productivity.
  • Experience working with ML engineering teams and integrating ML solutions is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule for the team.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong focus on user experience and usability. You are an undying advocate for the user, and you have a deep intuition for how people think and how they interact with software. Experience with social is a huge plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. You must be self-directed, innovative, and biased towards action. You live to build new things and thrive in ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills. You must be able to collaborate with teams in a fully remote environment, and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
