Senior Front-End Developer (React, JS)

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and other stakeholders to align on project goals, gather and refine requirements, and ensure seamless execution.
  • Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable frontend architecture using React.
  • Evaluate different technical approaches, discuss trade-offs, and recommend optimal frontend solutions to complex challenges.
  • Drive the development and refinement of UI components, services integration, and frontend performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with product managers and technical experts to define, develop, and successfully roll out new features that enhance user experience and business value.
  • Ensure high code quality through best practices, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing team productivity and system efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • 7+ years of development experience in front-end applications using React, JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Strong expertise in React, along with strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Experience with GraphQL and consuming and designing RESTful APIs
  • A solid understanding of modern web-development technologies and workflows, from backend DB to user-facing interfaces.
  • Working in existing codebases to make incremental improvements in line with product priorities.
  • Experience with working cross-functionally across multiple stakeholder groups to drive the product forward
  • A strong focus on users and how they interact with our products
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving product environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to have:

  • Backend development experience (Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq)
  • Experience with WebGL and libraries such as three.js
  • Experience developing and launching A/B tests at scale
  • Experience in a high-growth technology startup
  • Full-stack mindset with the ability to contribute across frontend and backend when needed
