Responsibilities
- Own and improve end-to-end QA processes across the exchange platform
- Drive QA for the trading core, including matching, risk, spot, derivatives, custody, gateways, and market data
- Define release quality gates, test coverage expectations, regression scope, and acceptance criteria
- Develop testing approaches for trading scenarios: order lifecycle, balance consistency, margin, liquidations, ADL, funding, and PnL
- Own performance and stress testing processes: latency, throughput, stability, and regression tracking
- Organize contract and end-to-end testing between distributed services
- Improve test environments, test data, simulators, and staging reliability
- Participate in incident reviews from a QA perspective and help prevent recurring production issues
- Contribute to QA standards and help shape the future QA setup of the team
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA and mandatory experience in trading, exchange, or brokerage
- Strong understanding of trading concepts: orders, order book, margin, balances, PnL, liquidations, funding, and market data
- Experience building or significantly improving test automation: frameworks, CI integration, reporting, and test data
- Strong understanding of distributed systems testing: contract testing, idempotency, race conditions, eventual consistency, fault tolerance, and chaos testing
- Hands-on experience with performance and load testing using tools such as k6, Gatling, JMeter, or custom generators
- Ability to work closely with engineering: review specifications, challenge design decisions, and define test strategy early
Nice to haves
- Experience with a crypto exchange, CEX, custody, or market-making infrastructure
- Experience with property-based or fuzz testing tools
- Security testing experience or participation in pentest processes for financial systems
