Details

  • As an SW/System Engineer for electro-hydraulic drive systems for construction machinery, you will work with your team to develop production-ready control software for mobile work machines such as wheel loaders, excavators.You contribute to the development and evolution of software platforms within the global ESS organization and ensure alignment with the global platform architecture;
  • You support local application teams and external partners during commissioning and optimization and validate platform functions in real machine environments;
  • You will independently design and apply electronically controlled hydrostatic drive systems and work functions, contributing your expertise. You ensure that developed solutions are scalable and reusable across different applications and regions;
  • Adaptation of customer-specific software based on global platforms and definition of market-specific extensions in alignment with the platform team;
  • You identify and analyze regional customer and market requirements and translate them into platform-compatible features. You coordinate with global teams to integrate regional extensions into the platform;
  • You validate prototypes and provide structured feedback to ensure continuous platform improvement;
  • Coordination and validation of functional safety requirements are also part of your responsibility. You ensure product compliance, engineering governance and software quality across projects. You apply and enforce global development processes and coordinate functional safety and regulatory requirements;
  • In collaboration with software development, sales, and product management, you will make a significant contribution to the successful completion of projects and the series release of our products. You ensure adherence to global engineering guidelines and product compliance within local projects;
  • Education: Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience and Expertise: Several years of relevant experience in the development or optimization of drive systems for machines; initial experience in the optimization of electronically controlled systems, especially with regard to methodical approaches; independent use of tools for embedded systems such as Simulink, INCA, or CANalyzer.
  • Personality and Working Style: Independent and reliable working style; quick grasp of system interdependencies and customer requirements; strong team spirit and communication skills; high willingness to learn and commitment. Intercultural competence collaboration Europe/India
  • Enthusiasm: For software and technical solutions in mobile work machines; enjoyment of working with customer contact; interest in taking responsibility for the entire process – from customer request to successful validation.
