About the role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and evolve the cloud platform that powers a next-generation life insurance product suite. You will develop across the full stack using React or Angular on the frontend and Node.js, Golang, or Java on the backend, with AWS infrastructure and containerized deployments. The role offers significant product impact within a remote-first, agile team building core platform capabilities from the ground up.
What you will do
- Work on the development of features that optimize core products and platform;
- Build production quality software that will be part of core products and platform;
- Work in an agile team closely collaborating with other software engineers and a product manager;
- Work in a remote environment.
Must haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
- 6+ years of experience writing production-quality code on core software product development;
- Solid experience with back end frameworks such as NodeJS, Golang, .NET, or Java;
- Familiarity with TypeScript;
- Front-end experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue;
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or Postgres;
- Experience working with third-party software integrations using REST APIs, XML, and JSON;
- Experience with cloud services, caching, containers, and app servers, including AWS, Docker, Redis, and Kubernetes;
- Experience with Test Driven Development;
- Flexibility to work with a strong overlap with Pacific Time Zone hours;
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to haves
- Familiarity with orchestration platforms.
