Senior/Lead Mobile Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior/Lead React Native Engineer to own the architecture, release process, and long-term technical health of a reader mobile application built with React Native and distributed via Expo and EAS. You will improve and maintain CI/CD and build automation workflows, manage App Store and Google Play releases, evaluate and implement architectural improvements, and establish engineering best practices through code reviews. This is a platform-focused role prioritizing maintainability, release predictability, and developer experience over feature velocity.

What you will do

• Own the technical architecture of the React Native application;
• Improve and maintain our Expo/EAS build and release pipeline;
• Manage App Store and Google Play releases;
• Improve CI/CD, build automation, and deployment workflows;
• Evaluate and implement architectural improvements as the application evolves;
• Improve application performance, stability, and maintainability;
• Review pull requests and help establish engineering best practices;
• Occasionally implement new product features when architectural work requires it.

Must haves

• 4+ years of experience with React Native in production;
• Extensive experience with Expo and EAS Build/Update;
• Deep understanding of iOS and Android release processes;
• Familiarity with TypeScript;
• Experience with push notification patterns and architecture;
• Experience with offline reading experiences and caching behaviors;
• Comfortable diagnosing native build issues and dependency conflicts;
• Experience shipping and maintaining apps through the Apple App Store and Google Play;
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Nice to haves

• Experience with analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring;
• Experience working alongside modern React web applications;
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions.
