About the role:

About the role:

  • Drive implementation and maintenance of Webflow’s build system, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Oversee the configuration and management of multiple development environments, providing guidance to ensure consistency across teams and environments.
  • Define and enforce development processes and best practices to improve efficiency and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Spearhead the deployment strategy for production environments, implementing robust rollback mechanisms and monitoring solutions.
  • Mentor junior members of the DevOps team, fostering their growth and knowledge in DevOps principles and technologies.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization in production environments.
  • Stay current with emerging DevOps trends and technologies, evaluating and implementing new tools to enhance the development workflow.
  • Participate in engineering citizenship activities such as co-authoring engineering blogs, strengthening and improving our hiring processes, and leading internal hackathon teams.

About you:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
  • Business-level fluency to read, write and speak in English

  • Have a proven track record of successfully deploying and managing large-scale Node.js applications in production environments, utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
  • Possess a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and best practices for building resilient, scalable, and secure applications on AWS.
  • Excel in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines tailored for Node.js projects, integrating automated testing and deployment processes.
  • Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect and implement solutions that meet business requirements while leveraging modern DevOps practices.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you can apply your expertise to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the development and deployment workflows.
  • Are passionate about sharing your knowledge and mentoring team members to foster a culture of learning and excellence within the DevOps team.
  • Possess a proactive mindset, always seeking opportunities to optimize processes, enhance system reliability, and improve the overall efficiency of the development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in DevOps, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, continuously expanding your skill set to adapt to evolving industry landscapes.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Pulumi for managing cloud resources.
  • Have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing support and guidance on DevOps practices.
  • Stay curious and open to growth — demonstrating a proactive embrace of AI, and actively building and applying fluency in emerging technologies to elevate how we work, drive faster outcomes, and expand collective impact.
