- Collaborate internationally: Work closely with Octopus Energy ES and various global teams to develop and integrate new features for our website and mobile app.
- Own key product modules: Contribute directly to the private area, bill management, saving sessions, customer onboarding optimization, and marketing dashboards.

⚙️ As a Backend Engineer in this team, you will:
- Collaborate internationally: Work closely with Octopus Energy ES and various global teams to develop and integrate new features for our website and mobile app.
- Own key product modules: Contribute directly to the private area, bill management, saving sessions, customer onboarding optimization, and marketing dashboards.

🎯 What you’ll need to thrive
- Strong professional experience building backend applications with Python.
- Solid experience with Django (or equivalent robust web frameworks).
- Deep understanding of Domain Modelling and software architecture.
- Strong expertise designing and integrating GraphQL & REST APIs.
- Proven experience writing robust, fault-tolerant, and scalable software.
- Experience with Celery and asynchronous task processing.
- Solid handling of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex issues from concept to production.
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, Packer, or Consul).
- Familiarity or exposure to frontend technologies such as React and Next.js.
- Familiarity with logging and metric aggregation platforms (DataDog).
On the technical side, you should have:
